UAVS OPERATIONS IN THE CURRENT CRISIS
UAVs are defined by the Encyclopaedia Britannica as an Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), most commonly known as military aircraft that is guided autonomously, by remote control, or both and that carries sensors, target designators, offensive ordnance, or electronic transmitters designed to interfere with or destroy enemy targets. In this upcoming age of changing military strategies, UAVs are being introduced in a magnitude never seen before.
The consequences and risks of using unmanned drones in modern times, the possible rewards, and their uses in the current crisis is a subject of debate around the world. As a new age of technological advancement is coming upon us we must decide what to do with these types of weapons. Additionally, the current crisis has pushed us to become more creative on the ways we moved due to quarantine, that is why UAVs are playing an enormous role nowadays.
However, does the benefits of using UAVs in today's world account for the risks that they bring?
CONFLICT ZONES ON THE AGE OF COVID-19
Conflict zones are temporary warzones that occur wherever factions are waging war or civil war against each other. During the 21st century, we have seen numerous conflicts as the Afghanistan, Syria, Yemen, Irak-Iran, Sudan-South Sudan leaving thousand and thousand of deads. During the current COVID-19 crisis, most of the conflicts remain; some of them have started negotiations but others are stable on the continuance of them. These make victims stand in a more vulnerable situation, now not only by the conflict as a whole but for the risk of getting infected. The future around these conflicts is uncertain and is the responsibility of the delegates to find a solution to this problem during the age of COVID-19.
